BUDDHIST CONCERT “VIET NAM PHAT TAM CA”

Accompanying the Central Cultural Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha , Dream Studio produced the art program “Vietnam Phat tam ca” to welcome the 8th National Congress of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The program was built as a solemn art space, where music became a sacred bridge to connect the cultural and spiritual values of Buddhism with a large audience.

The program brought 12 meticulously staged singing and dancing acts, gathering prominent artists such as My Linh, Tung Duong, Duc Tuan, Lan Anh, Quoc Hung, Khanh Linh, Le Anh Dung. The opening was the theme song “Vietnam Phat tam ca” performed by the Huong Pagoda Choir, before guiding the audience through Buddhist inspired works such as “Từ Đàm quê hương tôi (Tu Dam my homeland)”, “Áo cà sa (Monks robe)”, “Sám hối mười phương (Repentance in ten directions)”, “Nam mô Bổn Sư Thích Ca Mâu Ni Phật (Namo Shakyamuni Buddha)”, “Màu áo nâu sồng (Brown robe color), and “Lạy Phật con đã về (Lord Buddha I have returned)”. The program closed with the song “Celebrating Vesak”, as a greeting to the Congress and sending a message about the spirit of compassion, wisdom, and harmony.

For Dream Studio, “Vietnam Phat tam ca” was not only an art program welcoming the Congress but also an opportunity to convey the Buddhist spirit through contemporary theatrical language. The combination of music, staging, and performance space created a solemn and emotional art night, contributing to honoring the cultural and spiritual values of Vietnamese Buddhism.
