XUAN PHAT TAI 2016

Xuan Phat Tai 2016 was developed by Dream Studio as a modern integrated entertainment stage, where music, comedy, and performance art converged in a unified whole instead of the traditional approach. With the staging of Dream Studio, the program brought the reunion atmosphere of Tet through familiar, emotionally resonant Vietnamese cultural stories retold using contemporary visual thinking.

Gathering a top lineup of artists including Hoai Linh, Xuan Hinh, Chi Tai, Hong Van, Thanh Thanh Hien, Quang Thang along with singers My Tam, Thu Minh, Toc Tien, Quang Le, Phi Nhung, the program created a stage rhythm that was both vibrant and highly narrative with many impressive plays and songs.

The highlight of the program was the two comedy skits “Nàng Dâu Bá Đạo (Badass daughter-in-law)” and “Nhà Trọ Của Mình (Our Boarding House)”, scripted by renown writer Cu Trong Xoay, exploiting contemporary life stories from a humorous yet highly critical perspective. From family relationships to the pragmatic youth culture, the situations were handled using modern theatrical language, bringing laughter while simultaneously evoking many reflections on traditional values.

Accompanying the comedy section were musical performances invested in staging, lighting, and visuals, creating a balance between entertainment elements and visual experience. Instead of just being a recorded program released on Tet holiday, Xuan Phat Tai 2016 was oriented by Dream Studio as a large-scale art stage, where each performance enriched a festival atmosphere and communal bonding in the early days of spring. This approach not only brought a modern appearance to the program but also contributed to elevating traditional entertainment formats into meticulous, identity-rich stage experiences with long-lasting value.
