For Dream Studio, Music Window No. 02 - I Dream a Dream was more than just a concert; it was an experiment in bringing contemporary classical language closer to the Vietnamese public. Rather than structuring the program as a traditional chamber performance, Dream Studio approached the project as a space where music, stagecraft, lighting, and fashion converged to create a unified artistic experience.
Inspired by European theater spaces, the stage design was kept intentionally minimal to allow the music to take center stage. The lighting, stage movement, and visual design were developed using a minimalist yet profound language, creating layers of space that shifted with each piece. Each program was no longer a series of disconnected performances but a continuous flow of emotion, guiding the audience through various shades of dreams, memories, and romance.
The project’s uniqueness lay in connecting works from diverse musical worlds within a single production structure. From Chat with Mozart and Secret Garden songs to contemporary musical theater excerpts and the music of Duong Thu, everything was presented in a cohesive performance language, helping to blur the lines between classical and popular music.
The program featured artists such as My Linh, Tung Duong, Nguyen Thao, Khanh Linh, Uyen Linh, Duyen Huyen, and Duong Hoang Yen, alongside the Vietnam Chamber Orchestra, the Anh Em Band, and conductor Ha My. Each artist did more than just perform; they became an integral part of the stage structure, where music, movement, and space combined to tell a shared story.
For Dream Studio, Music Window No. 02 - I Dreamed a Dream is more than just an elaborately staged concert; it is a testament to the fact that contemporary chamber music can reach the public with elegance, sophistication, and deep emotion. In doing so, the program offers a fresh perspective on concerts in Vietnam: a place where music does not stand alone, but is elevated by the space, visuals, and the harmony of every creative element.
