ABOUT

For Dream Studio, the VTV International Children's Festival 2018 was not only an art program for children but also a cultural project with connecting significance. With the theme “Green Land - For a green planet”, the program was developed as a journey where children from many countries met, shared their cultural identities, and spread the message of friendship, peace, and the responsibility to protect the planet.

For the first time in Vietnam, an international children's carnival festival was organized on a large scale at the Luminary  Square at Vinpearl Nha Trang. Dream Studio conceptualized the entire space around an open festival atmosphere , where the stage extended beyond the main performance area to become an experiential journey starting from carnival floats, parades, and the appearance of hundreds of children in their traditional national costumes.

The script was developed following a continuous festival structure instead of disjointed performances. Eight international children's troupes appeared one after another in parades combining music, lighting, and stage effects, before guiding the audience into an exploration of each country's distinctive cultural identities. From folk dances and traditional music to contemporary performances, all acts were connected in a unified flow, affirming the diverse yet cohesive spirit of the global children's community.

Besides the international art troupes, the program also featured prominent Vietnamese artists like Dong Nhi and Phuong Khanh, along with the chorus performance of “We Are The World” featuring all 150 children from eight countries. The moment all the children stood together on one stage became a highly emotional ending point, closing the journey with a message of solidarity, sharing, and a green future for the generations to come.

Through the VTV International Children's Festival 2018, Dream Studio continued to pursue the orientation of creating events with cultural and educational values, where art becomes the language connecting people across geographical boundaries and cultural differences. The project not only created beautiful memories for the participating children but also contributed to nurturing the spirit of integration, compassion, and global citizenship awareness for the future generation.
